Las Vegas Tourist Spots

Rising like an oasis from the desert of Mojave, in the western state of Nevada stands the sin city and the playground of America, Las Vegas or in popular term- VEGAS BABY!! A city that is not from this planet, a city that always surprises. There is no city or state in this world that was given so many adjectives over the years.

Las Vegas has a three hundred days of sunshine and always kind of a hot zone for travelers all over the world. The city itself has one million citizens and last year more than forty two million came here to visit, which is the highest number in last fifteen years. When is the best time to visit? Well, I would say when you are sad or heartbroken. And weather wise, in the hottest days temperature touches forty degree Celsius where coldest days are around four or five degree Celsius. If you are looking for a pleasant not so cold not so hot weather visit either any time during last half of March to first half of May or during September to November.

The place is full of hotels and motels. You can find a $40 to $50 dollar room easily any time of the year. The best way to travel within this dazzling city is by bus and taxi. You might find taxis a bit expensive (starts from $3.30 and additional $2.62/mile) but there is room for five people so if you can share then it won’t be that much costly.

On the other hand buses are available everywhere and very easily accessible. There various passes that would make your traveling very easy and cheap. Visit here for more information:

Which area to stay in Vegas is bit of a conundrum. If you are looking for the cheapest place Downtown Las Vegas is your area. But the place is not very family friendly if you know what I mean. A popular place is the Las Vegas Boulevard, commonly known as ‘the strip’. This place has good hotels, shopping malls and all the major casinos are nearby.

Las Vegas is full of giant restaurants and celebrity chefs. It has a huge number of restaurants with a wide variety of food items. From stake to pizza, burgers to seafood. You will be presented with a never ending list of awesome dishes. For a budget meal three times a day the average cost is around thirty dollars per person. In a very good restaurant with good eat, for two people three hundred dollars would be a safe bet. The stakes are really famous here. You can try the famous The Riserva Steak.

Planet Hollywood

This high-rise casino resort is in walking distance from the Bellagio fountains and little more than a mile from Vegas’s Madame Tussauds museum. This place screams ‘posh’, with its aristocratic rooms, lobby and state of the art interior and exterior design. It also has a great stake house and some nice restaurants and bars. It has a spa, two pools and a shopping mall as well. This is in the center of the strip. If you are coming from airport you can take the shuttle called Carolyn.

MGM Grand

This giant hotel casino is the largest hotel of the United States of America with 6,852 rooms. It is located on the South end of the Strip across from the Tropicana. All rooms are very well furnished and wonderfully designed with free WiFi and parking facility. The best option to reach there from the airport is taking Cab. Also there shuttles available but if there is chance to split the fare taking a taxi would be the best option (cost $10) as shuttles are slower and MGM Grand is located near to the airport.

Another casino hotel with similar features except the total place is built in an Egyptian theme with a 30-story pyramid topped with a 315,000-watt light beam. Also it is very famous for being a weeding venue. If you are staying in the strip like the other ‘big casinos’ this one is also in walking distance. If you are coming from the airport take a taxi. It would cost ten to twelve dollars.

Again like the other place this place also in the strip, and taxi would be the wisest choice of transportation from airport.
